Kids and Animals Always Steal the Show

It’s a known fact: kids and animals in ads always steal the show. Just ask W.C. Fields, who famously said “Never work with children or animals.”  Fortunately, advertisers ignored his advice at the tenth annual Advertising Week, where two television spots garnered widespread attention, and a few laughs.

Adobe Systems, in an effort to push their strategic campaign and analytics capabilities, launched “Click, Baby, Click!” with the message “Do you know what your marketing is doing?” The surprise ending? Check it out for yourself:

Another brand gaining nods for its clever and comical spot is Mercedes. No, that’s not a typo — Mercedes has combined luxury and comedy with this ad demonstrating “Intelligent Drive,” the vehicle’s automatic body control feature. Go ahead and get your clucks (did I give it away?).

You could always follow the advice of funnyman, W.C. Fields, but if you do, you might be missing out on over 4 million video views.
