Mascola Group’s founder, Chuck, grew up in New Haven’s Annex neighborhood. It was there, watching his father work as a barber out of the family brownstone, that he learned the foundations of a successful business: thoughtful service, consistency, and long-term relationships.
That’s the business Chuck set out to build when he opened Connecticut advertising agency Mascola Group in 1987. Not the barbershop (obviously), but the principles behind it.
40 years later, we still work in that same New Haven brownstone. Dotted with vintage radios and mics, old storefront signage, and other advertising artifacts, the space serves as a reminder that while the media landscape is constantly evolving, the fundamentals of good marketing endure: understanding people, earning trust, and giving them a reason to act.
