Russian cathedrals are certainly an interesting and unexpected angle to draw visitors to New York. But is it strong enough of a lead attraction? Maybe it was back in 1960.
FUN FACT: In 1977, the New York State Department of Economic Development tapped Milton Glaser to develop a logo to promote state tourism. At a meeting, he pulled out a crumpled piece of paper with a doodle on it he had drawn up on a cab ride. He let the state use the logo pro bono, because he felt it would help New York grow again. We now know it as the famous “I Love New York” logo. (Source: Logoworks.com)
