Luckily this doesn’t hit too close to home thanks to the beautiful weather we’ve been experiencing here in Connecticut, but that doesn’t take away from the intrigue of this ad for Florida state tourism from 1983. It’s always a nice sentiment to play up the escape from less-than-ideal forecasts, but I can envision far better phrasing. More specifically, “I need it bad!” might be the very last thing my travel agent would want to hear.
