Like many other tourist attractions out there, Knott’s Berry Farm realized that they weren’t the biggest or most popular game in town. But unlike many other brands, they were not afraid to name their nemesis and offer up an alternative to everyone’s favorite (and often crowded) fairy tale world.
FUN FACT: Walter and Cordelia Knott named the boysenberry (a cross between a raspberry, a loganberry and a blackberry) after they became the first farmers to successfully grow their friend Rudolph Boysen’s new strain of berry. (Source: KnottsberryFarmFoods.com)
