Retro Ad of the Week: Budweiser, 1952

During the Presidential election, things are bound to get heated. In 1952, Budweiser urged voters to see past their political differences and agree on one thing: ice cold beer. It’s always risky to include politics in advertising, but the playful caricatures manage to keep tempers at bay.

In honor of National Beer Day, put politics aside and crack open a cold one. Cheers!

Fun Fact: Exactly 64 years later, the beer brand has incorporated politics in advertising again, running the “Bud Light Party” spot during this year’s Super Bowl.
