Retro Ad of the Week: Kayser Intimates, 1966

Poetry has long been used in advertising to help tell stories more beautifully or infuse powerful emotions into imagery (as illustrated so beautifully in Dodge’s “Farmer” spot). In the case of this 1966 Kayser Intimates ad, a free verse poem depicts the transition from day to night, and into this ever-so-delicate lace slip. Subtle, at least, until you get to the second half of this two-page spread (see below).
