“Unless bold measures are taken this last bastion of male domination may succumb to the malignancy of togetherness.”
Talk about a call to action! This 1963 Lotus Elan ad copy goes beyond the average (typically sexist and pompous) message of car ads from the 1960’s. Urging all males to “Watch out for the Girls”, Lotus warns its high-class audience that they are at risk of losing the established traditions that come with owning a Lotus.
FUN FACT: In 1995, after the Lotus Elan had its final production run, Kia Motors bought the Elan license and began making their own version, which was nearly identical to the original Lotus model. (Source: Wikipedia)
