While we doubt anyone would choose to eat piping hot chicken soup on a muggy July day, we must admire the sheer patriotism in this 1966 Campbell’s Soup advertisement. It’s the soup with “the star-spangled sparkle,” after all.
Whatever you decide to consume this Fourth of July, we hope it’s in good spirits as you enjoy a fun, safe and Happy Independence Day!
FUN FACT: A regular attendee of the annual Cornell-Penn football game, company executive Herberton Williams adopted the now famous red and white colors of the Campbell’s can from Cornell University team’s uniforms. (Source: Campbell’s Soup Company)
