Retro Ad of the Week: Pan Am Airlines, 1964

Reminding business travelers that they need a little rest and relaxation is far from a new concept. Pan Am was at it 52 years ago. This 1964 advertisement focused on attracting business travelers who might be swayed to add on a flight to the beach once business is all wrapped up.

FUN FACT: Pan Am was very helpful to America during World War II, mostly due to their abundant experience at flying long distances. In fact, when Roosevelt went to meet with Stalin and Churchill in Africa, he traveled there on a Pan Am B314 Clipper on his birthday, which he celebrated with some cake while in flight.
