Thank You & Farewell: Summer 2016 Interns

Back to school time is nearly upon us, which means we are bidding farewell to our great Summer 2016 interns here at Mascola Group. As they trade in blog posts and spreadsheets for lecture halls and term papers, we asked, what’s it like to intern at Mascola, anyway?

Lisa is a Rising Senior at Central Connecticut State University, majoring in Graphic Design

Lisa, Graphic Design

As a graphic designer, one of the things I enjoyed the most while interning at Mascola was being able to work on projects for clients. It was a great learning experience to see what goes into the creation of advertisements. I learned so much from everyone at Mascola – and the free Tuesday lunches were an added bonus!

Gabby is a Rising Junior at Union College, double majoring in English and Anthropology

Gabby, Content & Social Media

Coming in with only small bits of experience in the marketing industry, I can say confidently that Mascola Group was the perfect company for my first internship where I was able learn about the ins and outs of the business. I will miss the creative sessions, agency lunch and all things food, Max, and overall just being a part of the Mascola Group experience – even if it was just for a short summer.

Brenna is a Rising Junior at Endicott College, majoring in English with a concentration in Creative Writing

Brenna, Content

One of the things I loved about my internship was feeling like a valuable part of Mascola. I was always asked my opinion and felt that the people here genuinely cared and took into consideration what I had to say. Being able to see my name and work published online is so rewarding. Starbucks coffee and kitchen snacks were perks to the internship. I came into the internship expecting to be learning about content writing in marketing, but I ended up branching out from my roots as an English major and learning so much more than I expected, and even about things I never thought I would’ve been interested in such as the dynamics of the B2B market.

Allie is a Rising Junior at Fordham University, majoring in Communications & Media Studies

What I’ve loved most about interning at Mascola is the people. There’s such a great sense of community here. I hope to stay in touch and come back to visit in the future. In addition to that, it has just been a great experience overall and I’ve learned a lot about how to work in an office environment. I feel much more prepared for what comes my way next in the job world!

Darby is a Rising Junior at Syracuse University, majoring in Public Relations

As an intern, I assumed I would be making copies and going on coffee runs. I am so happy that I was given substantial assignments that strengthened my public relations skills.

Victoria is a Rising Senior at the University of Connecticut, majoring in Business with a Marketing focus

I really enjoyed interning at Mascola because, after being introduced to their way of doing things, I was entrusted with actual assignments of significance. There was no filing, shredding, scanning, etc. (though there was a bit of Ikea furniture assembly). It was really great to feel like, even as an intern, my efforts helped contribute to those of the team. They definitely ensured I would walk away from the experience with new skills and a sense of accomplishment.

We want to send a big Thank You to all of our summer interns! Still searching for advertising agency internships in Connecticut this fall? You too can join the team. Apply here!
